Jan Herboth

Artist Teacher

Jan Herboth combines a strong background as a performer with over 40 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities.  She made her debut as a performer at the age of 9 as soloist with the Greenville (SC) Symphony and went on to appear in numerous performances as an orchestral soloist, a chamber musician, and as a solo pianist.  She has studied with such distinguished teachers as Richard Cass, Ozan Marsh, Lee Luvisi, and Lillian Kallir.  She has also completed pedagogy classes at the University of Wisconsin, Lake Forest College, University of Louisville, East Carolina University, and CPCC.  In addition to teaching, Ms. Herboth is a frequent adjudicator in both North and South Carolina.
