Fun, Relaxed, Pressure-Free
Group piano provides a leisurely way to learn piano in a relaxed, social environment. Our philosophy is that anyone, regardless of age, musical background, or talent can learn music in a fun, relaxed, and pressure-free surrounding. Groups are limited in size, and classes are held on digital Clavinovas™ in the keyboard lab.
Elementary Level Piano
Personalized Attention
We specialize in beginner fundamentals, and know how to reach students with the right balance of personalized attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement. We make learning fun through a variety of engaging and outside-the-box activities.
Beginning students in grades 1-3 are encouraged to take Group Piano classes before registering for individual lessons.

Intermediate Level Piano

We know how difficult it can be to find a reliable teacher that focuses on intermediate technique. Teachers need to be able to motivate and guide students towards success. As experienced and passionate piano instructors, we believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. We design lessons according to the students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities.
The Piano Academy of North Carolina works in cooperation with other piano teachers across the region and state. As a professional courtesy, we require all transfer students to discuss the intent to transfer with the current teacher before being admitted to the academy.
