Allison Dod

Teacher Assistant, Recreational Director

Allison Dod holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from James Madison University.  She taught in Virginia public schools for nine years before home schooling her own children for fifteen years.  She has taught beginning and intermediate piano in her home off and on for ten years.  As an educator, she recognizes how the process of learning music helps in the mastery of other subjects as well.  Studying music makes students more focused and improves concentration and memory.  It is also an excellent method for relieving stress and experiencing a sense of accomplishment.
